running with david - bradbourne fell race

It took me over an hour to sythe the water cress from the river bed and the vegetation on the approach to the river crossing....and I still have blisters on my thumbs to prove it

The new course, first used in 2008, will once again be used containing the water crossing of about 20'. Whilst there is a short but steep climb, most of the laps are runnable by all…..honestly and so, if you are not fit, slightly injured or just lazy, why not walk and jog ONE LAP of the main event...your entry money will be well spent as all entry money is donated to village funds.

Registration mainly for the main race, the one lap race and the under 16 and under 14s event : Village Hall 08.30 to 09.30

Registration for the under 8, 10 and 12 events : on the start line (nearly a mile away) from 10.05 to 10.55

10am : 5.01m with ascents of 851' for seniors and under 18's - 2 laps 10am : 2.75m for under 16' and under 14's as well as seniors who are not so fit - 1 lap

11am : 880y for under 8's - 1 small lap

11.15am : 1m for under 10's - 1 small laps

11.40am : 2m for under 12's - 1 extended lap

The qualifying date is 01.01.09 for the juniors

This is a popular race held on a course suitable for newcomers to fell running as it is not too difficult....honestly. GOOD PARKING, TOILETS, CHANGING and TEA and COFFEE AFTERWARDS. The entry fee is £4, £1.50 for under 18's and under 16s are FREE. Please try to enter in advance even if you e-mail your entry and pay on the day
