running with david - bradbourne fell race

The new course, first used in 2008, will once again be used containing the water crossing of about 20'. Whilst there is a short but steep climb, most of the laps are runnable by all…..honestly and so, if you are not fit, slightly injured or just lazy, why not walk and jog ONE LAP of the main event...your entry money will be well spent as all entry money is donated to village funds.

It has not yet been decided whether or not to include ALL races from under 8's to under 18's but there will be supporting races of some kind.

11am : Senior open race over 2 laps plus a one lap for beginners and those over 14. The lap distance is 2.51 miles with a lap climb of 422'

This is a popular race held on a course suitable for newcomers to fell running as it is not too difficult....honestly. GOOD PARKING, TOILETS, CHANGING and TEA and COFFEE AFTERWARDS. The entry fee is £3, £1.50 for under 18's and under 16s are FREE. Please try to enter in advance even if you e-mail your entry and pay on the day

RESULTS of the 2008 event held on Sunday 24 August : Please note that in the open race, 2 runners are listed at the end for whom I cannot find a record of finishing. If they did finish (there were a couple of duplicate number recordings) please phone me asap so that the results can be amended
