Ron Hill Classic
This very popular event, now in its 21st season, is over 3 stages and often gets FULL so please enter early - the details of each stage and the entry fees appear below.
The Series has been sponsored by the Ronhill brand since its inception and a look on the RonHill Sports site shows some exciting developments
The 2009 dates are as follows
STAGE 1: Sunday 25 October at 09.00 at Oxshott Sports Club
The location of the sports club can be found by going to : www.multimap.com and typing in the postcode of the club : KT22 0RF
A 1km loop followed by one mostly rural lap of 9km. This course has been changed slightly at the finish to create a safer environment for runners. All kilometers are marked. There is a rise between 8km and 9km. LIMITED PARKING & TOILETS but good CHANGING. Also, you can get bacon sandwiches + tea or coffee after the event.
STAGE 2: Sunday 1 November at 09.00 at Nonsuch Park, Epsom
HQ : the Mansion House in Nonsuch Park, Cheam Road, Epsom
A 1km loop followed by 2 laps of 4.5km. The course, half in the park and half on the highway, has been wheel measured by me but does not hold a AAA of E certificate. A fast start and easy running until runners turn off the Ewell bypass where there is a climb of 49' on each lap up Castle Avenue leading to another flat section back in the park. GOOD PARKING, TOILETS, & BASIC CHANGING.
STAGE 3: Sunday 20 December at 09.00 Horton Country Park, Epsom - HQ - Equus Equestrian Centre.

A 2 lap course all on the public highways. A downhill section follows the flat start. This is followed by a very short climb in West Hill and a short descent back to Manor Park Road. After turning into Long Grove Road, the course climbs gradually to the finish of the lap. FREE tea, coffee and mince pies or biscuits after the race and the presentation of awards for the Series and T shirts to those who finish all three stages. GOOD PARKING, TOILETS & LIMITED CHANGING.
WHOLE RACE (3 STAGES) 2009 : £20 in advance or £22 on the opening day+ £2 unaffiliated fee
INDIVIDUAL STAGES - where space permits : £8 per stage or £10 on the day
UNAFFILIATED RUNNERS: ARC SURCHARGE : £2
