at the prize presentation where each runner took home at least R50/-. In the
foreground are two young men from Belgium who helped at the race.

This
banner cost a mere R300/- that, in UK terms is just £3.50. Why do we have to pay
so much in the UK?

The
runners in the junior fun run just after the start...typically for my events,
there was a good hill included in the out and back course!!

The
long downhill finish showing many of the children from the Sree Ayankali
Residential School who turned up (late,..well it is India) on the back of two
lorries

running.

Asil
from the Sruthi Club winning for the 2nd time in the short history of the race.
His prize was R1000.

Arya,
the winner of the women's race who also won R1000/-. The finish of the women's
race was a very close affair with her team mate falling a fraction before the
line. Both girls attend the Sree Ayankali Residentail School for poor children
but who get excellent sports coaching. Arya competed in the National
Championships.

Sabeena
from the host Subash Centre finishing in 3rd place in the womens race. Notice
that she is running in a choudiar and with bare feet.
