The 24th season starts on 12 September and the other dates are : 17/10, 14/11, 19/12 201 and 09/01, 13/02, 20/03 and 17/04 2013

The HQ provides GOOD PARKING, CHANGING and SHOWERS and registration is from 6pm to 6.55pm. For those latecomers just wishing to run in the 5km, it is possible to register between 7.10pm and 7.15pm

The courses for both the ONE MILE and the 5km are NEW for this coming season andhave a UKA Certificate and are now both all run on the same side of the bye-pass now that the road works have been completed, thus cutting out the underpass. Each KM is marked for the 5km.

The FINISH for both races is coincidental but the START of the ONE MILE is to the right of the main entrance of the car park whilst the START of the 5km is at the Rolls Royce sign immediately to the left of the entrance to the car park.

The course has produced some very fast times in the last 2 years including a fine 15.54 by Katie Ingram of Horwich RMI club and Loughborough University, ranking her top of the UK rankings in March 2010 but from now on, the courses will be even faster.

Whilst it is good for me to get your entry by e-mail in advance so that I can prepare a number for you - you can just turn up, pay the fee of £3 and £1.50 for 16 and 17 year olds (or FREE if you are under 16) and run...as well as getting warm changing rooms, hot showers, FREE results and the choice of one or both races.

Part of the entry fee will be donated to our charity, IDEAS (International Development through Education, Art and Sport), where we are raising funds to build a school for poor children in the southern Indian State of Kerala. Donations in addition to your entry fee are always greatly appreciated.

The ONE MILE race is at 7pm and then, at 7.20pm, is the 5000m race.

This is 5 week old Alex Chamberlain who decided he was too tired to run the December 2011 One Mile event

I really enjoyed the course and I prefer it to the old one NT

Really liked the new course and much prefer it to the old more ‘open’ course, hope you keep this one even when the new road is finished. DS

A good course - very good actually! Flatish and fast but with bit a few features which in some ways make the course more interesting than a straight out and back. The turns, the underpass and roundabout means the route has a bit of everything and as long as us runners keep our wits on the road then looks a great design. Cheers again MG

Really enjoyed the course! Much better than the previous one.SC

The 5k route was super..added interest with the turns JM
