Three Great Races in Prague - 2010

I took a group of 19 people to Prague in September for the Prague Grand Prix of whom 12 ran and very successfully as well. We had the winner of the WV45, WV70, 3rd in the M55, 4th in the M35 and some excellent personal best times...and above all, the group enjoyed their visit and their stay in the Hotel Machova.

In 2010, I shall be taking groups to the Prague Half Marathon (Saturday 27 March), the Marathon (Sunday 9 May) and the Grand Prix (Saturday 11 September). If you have missed out on the London Marathon, why not use Prague as a substitute and even use the Half as a build up?

New Technology to benefit my runners!!

If you go to the Bradbourne Fell Races and the Chevin Fell Race pages, you will see aerial views of the courses used for the 2009 events and that will be used again next year. It gives a really good view of thew course and, also on that page, there is a profile of the course to show the undulations. With luck, and gentle persuasion, I shall try to get similar views done for some of the other courses ... thanks to John Birch of Long Eaton Running Club

Cheap Eurosport TV on your computer/laptop

A friend told me of a good offer to get Eurosport 1 and 2 plus the Eurosport News Channel for about £36 a year!!! So, as I spend much of the year travelling, and don't have cable or satellite at home, I have just paid 39.90 EUR (I was in Prague when I registered) and so watched all of the Tour de France and am looking forward to the World Athletics Championships on my laptop.....dead easy.

Go to www.eurosport.co.uk and then there is a button for Eurosport Player.

My Indian House

During the past Winter, I spent 16 weeks in my Indian home and amongst the many guests staying during the season was been the former Commonwealth Marathon champion, 3 times Olympian and prodigious racer, Dr Ron Hill and his wife. Rooms are still available for the 2009/2010 season but some times, the house is already fully booked. Of course, you could start making plans for a winter holiday NOW and enjoy the richness of life here in Kerala.

Free Entry for u16's

As a way of encouraging more youngsters to take part in sport, from now on, in individual races I organise, there will be no charge for those under 16 on the day of the race.
